Summary

The article discusses the possibility of Donald Trump establishing his own nation as a solution to the political and social division in the United States.

Abstract

The United States is experiencing significant political and social strife, with deep divisions between supporters and critics of Donald Trump. The article suggests that a radical solution to this discord might be for Trump to create his own country, allowing his followers to live under his exclusive leadership and ideology. This idea is framed as a way to circumvent the consequences of Trump's actions, such as the impeachment for "incitement of insurrection," and to provide a peaceful resolution by allowing opposing ideologies to coexist in separate nations. The author, Dr. Deborah M. Vereen, reflects on the current state of affairs, the unyielding loyalty of Trump's supporters, and the potential for a Trump-led nation to serve as a pressure valve for the intense political tension in the U.S.

Opinions

  • The author believes that the divide in the U.S. is so severe that reconciliation under a single democratic society is unlikely.
  • Trump's followers are portrayed as unwavering in their support, willing to follow him into a new nation.
  • The article suggests that Trump's creation of a new nation could satisfy his desire for power and his followers' need for a leader who aligns with their ideology.
  • The author implies that Trump's potential to evade legal repercussions could be facilitated by establishing his own country, where he could operate outside the constraints of the U.S. Constitution.
  • Dr. Vereen posits that the establishment of a Trump nation might be the most effective way to achieve peace and allow the U.S. to heal and progress in its democratic values.

The Establishment Of A Literal Trump Nation

This might be a viable solution for releasing peace in the United States during these troubled times

Introduction

Sometimes I allow my mind to wander into the domain of possibilities where my thoughts war against the realistic and the unrealistic. My most recent intrinsic inquires have been fueled by what is currently taking place in the United States.

Like so many Americans and global citizens, I have been concerned about the political and social conditions that have gripped and polarized us. My nation has become so divided that all efforts to repair the devastating breach with hope and recovery have become insurmountable. Like an unrelenting dark cloud that has cast a shadow of gloom across the fabric of democracy, anger, sorrow, fear, and many other heightened emotions consumes the hearts of many citizens.

Our current reality is as vivid as a mirrored reflection. The passionate followers of Donald Trump will forever hail him as their exclusive leader and president. The insurrection in Washington, DC, his brandish rhetoric, and the totality of his genuine being that has been exposed to the world will never change their opinion of him. Donald Trump will remain so highly esteemed that no other national leader will ever be rivaled. Followers of his political cult have positioned themselves as loyalist who commits their life to him.

I do not believe that the conflict and distrust between non-Trump followers and those who diligently support him will ever be resolved to ensure the peaceful habitation in the democratic society that has historically been the United States. Ideologies have become too divergent. Wounds have created too much trauma. Pure hatred has replaced the capacity and willingness to embrace acceptance, respect, forgiveness, unconditional love, and understanding. The separation between these two worlds is likely to prevail and expand into the future.

While I am no expert in international law or foreign policy, I have considered a simple solution in this article. Even though it is yet to be determined if Donald Trump will receive any consequence as it relates to the most recent article of impeachment against him for

“incitement of insurrection”

and the possibility of prosecution for inciting the riot on January 6, 2021, I wonder if there is a possibility that he could create his nation.

Establishing A New Nation May Not Exist Beyond the Scope of Reason for Donald Trump

Over a year ago, Donald Trump actually explored the idea of purchasing Greenland. Even though this was readily dismissed and despite the fact that he has not discussed the idea any further, this leads me to conclude that he has probably entertained the idea of creating his own nation.

As I considered this possibility as a means to satisfying his need to remain in the forefront of power and his supporters need to follow him, I explored this notion a little more deeply. This is especially true for me because Donald Trump possessed so much power and support that he may be able to circumvent impeachment and prosecution.

An online article in the publication Foreign Policy Insider Assess on February 26, 2008 called

“How to Start Your Own Country in Four Easy Steps”,

Associate Editor Joshua Keating lists the uncomplicated ways to start a country. These four steps include the following:

  1. acquire territory;
  2. declare independence;
  3. become recognized as a nation; and
  4. join the United Nations.

Perhaps the best way for the opposing parties that exist within the United States to achieve a spirit of compromise is for Donald Trump to create his nation. I believe this would result in the outcomes for him as well as his followers shown below.

  1. Donald Trump would be able to create his own rules of law and would no longer be confined by the United States Constitution.
  2. His loyalist would be able to pledge their allegiance and support to his lifelong rule without competition or compromise.
  3. Trump followers would have the opportunity to occupy the territory exclusively governed by their highly esteemed leader. They would become citizens of his nation.
  4. A Trump society that reflects the exclusive ideals of Donald Trump as well as his ardent supporters would prevail.

Conclusion: The Final Thought

Turmoil overshadows the United States. Because of the influence of Donald Trump, many citizens maintain the belief that the 2020 presidential election was fraudulent. These individuals join him in believing that the opportunity for a second presidential term was stolen. Other citizens fervently embrace the democracy that has historically prevailed in the United States and was evidenced by the fair voting process.

It is doubtful that the struggle between both opposing groups will be resolved even when President Elect Joe Biden becomes the new American leader. Instead, it is likely that Donald Trump will continue to influence his devoted supporters to exclusively honor him as their leader. Therefore, I believe there is only one viable solution. Donald Trump and his followers should become citizens in a new nation that he creates. Only then will United States citizens heal and move forward in our democratic society.

If he remains free to do so, perhaps he should establish a Trump nation.

What do you think? Should Donald Trump create an exclusive nation?
