Agreements

The United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and the United States have signed an agreement with AstraZeneca to supply 400 million vaccines. According to one of the conditions of this agreement, when a vaccine is found, it must be sold to all EU countries. “The fact that the agreement is in such a highly competitive environment is the first insurance for us to get the vaccine,” said French Health Minister Olivier Veran. However, other vaccination efforts are underway to avoid being tied to a single source. French State Minister Agnes-Panier Runacher said tens of millions of vaccines would be available to people by the end of 2020. AstraZeneca hopes to produce 2 billion doses of vaccine by the end of this year.

Test activities
