The naval vessel Karel Doorman is going to The Carabien part of our Kingdom, for three months. They are helping through the Coronavirus. Think about helping with giving food boxes, medical care, transport of people and materials, guard the sea border. This naval vessel has medical care onboard for people without Coronavirus. Unfortunately, their families could not say goodbye to them. The military has been in quarantine for two weeks to know for sure they don’t have the Coronavirus. Parcel deliverers are very angry. They want extra compensations for the extra work they have to do during the Coronavirus crisis. The Interest Association for Parcel Distribution (BVPD) boss told in an open letter that everything is too much and that there must be more payment for the parcel deliverers. “Every parcel deliverer visits about 200 doors every day”, says the letter to Verhagen. “We currently deliver about five million packages a week, we ring someone every three minutes. Numbers that we normally only get around Sinterklaas and Christmas.” According to the BVPD, fewer and fewer deliverers are available for that work, because one in five deliverers is at home. PostNL should have fulfilled the requirements of the BVPD before 9 am this morning to avoid a lawsuit.
