The Climb

Six Word Photo Story: Freestyle

Nowhere to go but up. Go!

It’s my second time in Seoul, South Korea. I decided to explore the less touristy places.

The Gaetgol Ecological Park is outside of Seoul. After consulting Google Maps, I knew I needed courage and determination to reach the park.

It’s a two-hour trip, two train transfers, and a long bus ride.

From the last bus stop, it’s a one-kilometer walk to the entrance and another one-kilometer walk to that point where I took a selfie.

Seeing the observation deck in the photo is different in reality. The reality is that it’s too high.

And do I still have the energy to go up there?

I had come this far and there’s no second thought, giving up and turning back.

It’s all about taking a long and deep breath a couple of times and everything’s going to be alright.

Being on top is not a scary one, it’s the going up. It’s a wooden structure, in every step, it wiggles.

However, after the wiggles in going up, the giggling followed. Yes, I made it!

And then, another round of catch your breath moment: going down and the two kilometers walk to the bus stop.

Thank you Mary Chang Story Writer for the inspiration.

I love this community.
