To make his point, the wise man held up a freshly cut rose and a cactus. “Make a choice,” he commanded, his voice firm and unwavering. The man had only two flowers, each representing a different path. Which one would he choose?

Without hesitation, the man flashed a charming smile and proclaimed,

“A rose, my dear friend, is the epitome of beauty and elegance.”

“You must be out of your mind,” said the wise old man. “But I understand you, for sometimes beauty possesses us and we are drawn towards the most fresh and stunning things in life.

A rose you admire for its beauty will soon wither away, leaving you disappointed. While a cactus stands tall, green, and ever-ready to bloom into the most stunning flower you have ever seen despite its thorns. Can you see the difference? The cactus symbolizes resilience and beauty that will leave you in awe. So why not choose the cactus and witness nature’s magic at its best?”

Accepting and acknowledging these aspects of yourself is essential, as it can lead to personal growth and strengthen your relationship with her.
