The Cherry Blossoms Are Starting To Bloom In Utah
They are just coming out

Cherry trees surround the Utah State Capitol in Salt Lake City
Although the cherry trees which circle the Utah State Capitol usually bloom a little later than the blossoms in Washington, D.C. because of the colder weather, they are still very beautiful. With the snow capped mountains in the background, the cherry blossoms present a picturesque view which many people flock to Salt Lake City to see.
The blossoms are just starting to come out now at the beginning of April. They should be in their glory in the coming week.

Unfortunately, the length of time that the cherry blossoms are in full bloom is relatively short. If the weather cooperates, there may be beautiful pink blossoms for two weeks. Sometimes the wind and rain (or even snow in Utah) can cause the blossoms to drop earlier than expected.

This is how it should look in front of the Utah State Capitol building in a few days when more of the blossoms come out and erupt into full bloom. This photo was taken a year ago.

The Tidal Basin in Washington, D.C. is a major tourist attraction where the beauty is unmatched. There is normally a two week Cherry Blossom Festival in the nation’s capital which runs from the end of March and first part of April. This year the festival has been virtual because of the COVID pandemic.
The cherry blossoms are beautiful throughout various parts of the United States. They are a symbol of friendship between the United States and Japan where there are big celebrations around the cherry blossoms.
During the pandemic, the cherry blossoms can bring beauty to life whether they are viewed in person or virtually in photos and videos.
