The Channeling Crash Course
In this post, we are going to be talking about all things Channeling. What is it, and how can you start incorporating this modality into your spiritual practice. I hope to make this post very easily understood so, that even my Christian mother can understand it. I have the urge to write this post after she confronted me about my Channeling and was fearful I would become possessed. Her fear is no longer, but if she was frightened or lacked knowledge of this topic, I am sure there are others out there who have some fear as well. So let’s eradicate that fear and jump right into this explanation.
What is Channeling?
Channeling is calling out to other entities to provoke a thought that is so clear and divine in nature it not only aids your spiritual development but helps contribute to the highest good of all humankind. It is the conscious decision of your own free will to allow another energy into your mind to bring forth messages from other planes of existence.
Your mind is like a radio, and by invoking these beings of the highest truth and vibration, you are tuning into their frequency and becoming receptive to their guidance. In other words, you allow a being of a higher vibration to relay messages from their dimension through your mind so that divine wisdom can be blessed upon our “lower” state of existence.
It is similar to the knowledge brought to us through prophets. Prophets are humans who have Channeled their highest and clearest thought and brought back divine guidance to other members of the human race.
A great example of this is the Prophet, Muhammad. Muhammad Channeled direct wisdom from Source and was the creator of the Islamic Faith. Another excellent example of Channeling is when Christian individuals bring in the holy ghost. Invoking the Holy Spirit is a form of Channeling since the holy spirit is the energy or breath of life itself. Whether Christians recognize they are doing this or not, they call upon Source for divine inspiration and guidance, and that is essentially channeling.
How to start incorporating Channeling into your spiritual practice?
There are many ways that you can start incorporating channeling into your spiritual practice, but before we start talking about the different methods, let’s discuss the basics of channeling. We have already talked about what Channeling is, so you should now have a general understanding of the practice and how it can benefit you and others.
To start, it’s important to always begin a channeling session by calling out to your source of divine knowledge and allowing them access into your mind to relay their messages to you. No being of the highest truth and vibration would ever violate your free will, so you must permit them to enter into your energy.
It is also essential to call out only to the beings of the highest truth and vibration of love. By stating your intentions out loud you consciously decide what energy is allowed into your mind. I am relatively certain you do not want any negative energies to come into your energy field, so make your intentions know. I like to say, “beings of the highest truth and vibration of love, I am now receptive and open to your messages. I allow you access into my mind, and I ask that you relay your divine messages to me in my heightened receptive state. I am thankful for your gracious wisdom, and I listen closely for your teachings”.
Now that your intentions are clear and you have allowed your spirit guides access into your energy, it is now time to listen. By getting into a meditative state, you become more receptive to the messages your spirit guides are trying to relay to you. During mediation, you reconnect with Source and consciously raise your vibration to a higher frequency. It is much easier for your guides to communicate with you in that heightened state of vibration since your energy isn’t so dense.
Now that you know you must set your intentions, allow your guides access to your mind, and enter a meditative state, I would say you are on your way to a successful channeling. Now, let’s talk about some channeling methods and how you can enter a meditative state to connect with your guides.
The first method we will talk about is automatic writing. During automatic writing, you enter a meditative state, and then after your mediation, you free write. Grab a pen and a paper and write down the slew of ideas that are flowing through your mind. Try not to censor any thoughts you are having, and do not force thoughts or ideas onto the paper. The ideas and thoughts that come through on your piece of paper are the messages and teachings from your channeled beings.
Another method of Channeling is merely actively listening to the thoughts that arise during your mediation. Once you call out to the divine and allow them access into your mind, you then must focus on the messages coming through. Perhaps there is an intrusive thought that will not go away. The thoughts that seem to be so loud and clear are the messages from your channeled beings. After your mediation session, record your thoughts so that you can return to them at a later time.
Meditative walking is also another great way to channel divine messages. During meditative walking, you focus on being as present as possible during your stroll. This is one of my favorite ways to channel messages and work with my guides. During your walk, allow your guides to enter your energy and relay their messages to you.
Most of the Channeling I do is through active listening and monitoring your thoughts for what comes through; however, some people can go as far as channeling other beings’ voices through their own body. If you are capable of this, then props to you, but that is an advanced form of channeling and something that I am not entirely comfortable doing myself.
Deeper Meditation?
Let’s also take some time to discuss methods to use to help deepen your state of mediation. I always love to do a nice session of yoga before my channeling session. Stretching releases stagnant energy and helps calm the mind and helps you get into the perfect headspace for your mediation.
Incense is also another great tool to use during your mediation to help calm the mind. The scared smoke has been used for ages during mediation to help increase focus. Aromatherapy is also another great tool to use during mediation as well to help calm down your energy.
Another great means to incorporate into your mediation is the use of crystals. Every crystal has specific properties, so do your research on what crystal is best for what you need in the present moment.
Finally, one of the greatest mediation tools is binaural beats. Binaural beats are to be used with headphones, and there are many apps you can download on your phone to start incorporating them into your practice. Binaural beats are a two-tone beat that alters your brain waves to switch your brain into a meditative state automatically. Each headphone plays a different frequency, which produces an altered brain wave. During mediation, your brain enters into a theta state, which is an altered level of awareness. Binaural beats help you to enter this state much, much easier.
So there is the crash course. I hope you found this helpful and that this helps to jumpstart your channeling journey. Peace, love, light, and happy Channeling ❤
