I Still Want To Interact With Medium Writers

Today Bruce Coulter wants to know if you feel the need to read and write in a tit-for-tat fashion in light of Medium’s updates.

My Immediate Writing Plans

When Bruce suggested this prompt I believe several things have happened since that time. I read Buster’s email and since then Medium says the “bug is fixed’. I’m not sure what that means.

I have asked myself why do I write here? Sure I like to make a decent amount of income, but I like the writers here. I have written on other platforms and I did not find the fellowship there that I have found here.

I have clapped, highlighted and commented on articles since I started writing here in June, 2022. In August when we started making more income I did engage more. After Medium’s birthday announcements I was encouraged until September 25th when the improved income suddenly stopped. I still continued interacting with others until I got COVID-19. I was hospitalized for most of October. Now I am feeling better, still more tired than usual, but I am writing again.

Bruce asks about writing in a tit-for-tat fashion in light of the Medium updates. I plan to continue on for now, as I do not want to leave Medium. I have met so many wonderful people here.

However, I do not like it when people tag me all the time, yet they don’t comment on my articles. If I tag someone I will try to comment on all of their articles or as many as I can. I think that is fair. I have no way to know what Medium will do in the near future. I plan to stay as I said because I like Medium writers!
