Summary

The article "The Case of the Curious Canine" humorously describes a ten-month-old puppy's amusing habit of interjecting in human conversations and showing keen interest in the dialogue rather than the outside scenery when in a car.

Abstract

The author shares an anecdote about their daughter's puppy, who has an unusual fascination with eavesdropping on human conversations. The puppy, when in the car, prefers to insert herself between the driver and passenger to better hear the discussion, reminiscent of the wolf in "Little Red Riding Hood." The author playfully muses about the puppy's perspective on the conversations, particularly who said what to whom. The article is part of a series of photo stories, with this entry titled "Six Word Photo Story: Freestyle." The author invites readers to explore other photo stories and expresses gratitude to Mary Chang Story Writer for publishing the tale.

The Case of the Curious Canine

Six Word Photo Story: Freestyle

And she said what to whom?

My daughter’s ten-month-old puppy loves to butt in on her humans’ conversations.

When she’s in the back seat of the car, she sticks her head into the space between the driver and the passenger. All the better to hear you with, my dear.

At other times, she peers around from the passenger’s side as in the photo above.

She is infinitely more interested in our gossip sessions than in looking out the window.

I would love to get her take on Who said What — and to Whom.

Thanks for reading!
