The Calm And Peaceful Village Left A Lasting Impression

Such a memorable impression that you never expected

Photo by the author Preeti Singh

I had recently gone to Thailand and took a trip to several places. One day from Bangkok we went to Pattaya Beach where we really enjoyed ourselves and no one wanted to leave.

The tour operator coaxed us to leave as we had to go for lunch to Noong Nooch Village which was an hour and a half away from Pattaya Beach.

We cribbed that we were hungry and it was already 1.45 and we could not wait. We made several excuses for not wanting to go there but the travel operator did not listen and said that the lunch was prebooked and we just had to go.

We sat on the bus and chatting away and declaring hunger being a reason for reaching quickly, we finally did make it to the venue.

We entered a big gate that said Noong Nooch Tropical Botanical Garden.

This was situated in the middle of a peaceful, quiet, and picturesque village.

We got down from the bus, a little in awe of the place. It was huge. We kept on walking. We saw rows and rows of plants everywhere.

The plants were healthy and fresh. They were tall and strong.

Each plant was more amazing than the other. Then I saw a banana tree. I have seen many banana trees in the world.

They all grow in clusters. However, I had never seen one like this. I will just show you the picture and you will believe me.

I was amazed to see so many bananas and look at the healthy bud below. I called people to watch this tree.

Each person would resist saying we have seen many banana trees but when they saw this tree they were amazed and started asking me for a picture of the tree and sharing it with their friends at home for memories.

We went a little ahead and look what we saw. I was speechless. You will agree that this was a regulated garden that looked neat and classy.

The cactus was long and looked like little coconuts hung in clusters. I have seen many types of cacti. California is full of them. Many desert areas in India also have cactus but these round shapes of coconuts hanging in the form of a tree were just too much to believe.

We made a turn and saw another beautiful sight. Let me show you the picture

This part of the garden was a swamp. It was maintained beautifully. An artificial house was created and a boat was fixed to it with a boatman and small rocks to make it look beautiful.

Beyond it, you could see the green healthy plants and a completely natural garden full of plants.

We learned that the garden sprawled over 600 acres and we could not see it in one day. We would only be able to see a minuscule part of the place.

If we had not stopped for lunch we would never have seen the calm and peaceful place full of positivity and happiness.

No one felt hungry. We did not want to leave the natural environment to go and have lunch in their lunch room.

Some facts to learn about a tropical garden from the Noong Nooch experience.

  • A tropical garden is a type of garden that features plants that require heavy rainfall or a lot of water.
  • The plants are big and bold and they are very green and luscious. Orchids, Banana plants, Bamboo, and hibiscus grow in plenty.
  • Most cacti and succulents grow in arid deserts and mountainous regions, but there are species in tropical rain forests. The climate in these areas is hot and humid and it helps them to grow. So the species found here are quite different.
  • The same plants growing in different places of the world changes their shape and species based on the particular climate of the area. A cactus in a desert will be different from a cactus in a tropical area. Both will thrive. One with a lot of rain and the other with no rain.

To wrap up

The wonders of nature never stop enthralling me. I looked at the expanse and felt like a small being in nature.

It has many moods and commands over us. Human beings pollute it, dirty it and maltreat it.

Nature is patient. Then one fine day it changes and there is a fury in it. It scares us all with its angry moods and there are hurricanes, floods, and earthquakes and we learn a lesson.

A human being does not control nature. On the contrary, nature controls it.

The Noong Nooch Village was a learning experience. People treat nature with love and care.

The visit to the village brought calm, peace, and a feeling of positivity and joy to us all.

We were fortunate to visit it and loved the experience. It imprinted a lasting impression in our minds. I am in gratitude that we were able to visit this beautiful village in Thailand.
