The Call To Be Uncommon In A Common World
A celebration of synchronicities

Aware people often say the universe sends us signals all the time, which we could see if we only knew how and where to look.
Have you ever asked, or wondered to yourself: How does a writer get one’s messages to reach a receptive audience?
I have left the herd By wondering wanderers I hope to be heard To affect mentality Does a shepherd need a flock
Excerpt from:
I want you to know that your presence here is an inspiration to many. You do not know whose lives you’re touching with every word, every article, and every comment you’re putting out. The world needs people like you. You were meant for something worthwhile, and that’s exactly why you’re here.
Excerpt from:
Pay attention to the magnificent interconnectedness of the Universe. Be attentive to the signs of flow and synchronicity in your life.
I aim to open people’s eyes to the wonders of the universe. God is available to speak to each and every person.
My purpose drives me
As writers, we create to entertain, inspire, broaden horizons, and challenge perspectives.
Anyone can show up. The willingness to remain uncommon in our pursuit separates the few from the many. Common is antithetical to greatness.
Each step is about chiseling the conviction into my soul. It’s training my mind to accept that uncommon is a gateway. Uncommon is why I’m here. Even if I need to go at it alone for a while, I recognize that alone is not incorrect. Alone is not rebellion, it is certainly not weakness. In the world of crowds, of orders, when it’s easier to yield to pressure, where most would doubt, and question, I choose to be uncommon.
Going against the tide is scary but necessary. No matter what winds are blowing, I can always adjust my sails. Success looks different for everyone. My definition of success is not to be like the guy next door, but to be better than who I was yesterday. Doing whatever it takes. Push when it’s uncomfortable. Breaking down barriers that mostly exist in my mind. It isn’t me against the world, it’s me against myself. Dreams do not happen on the couch.
My purpose is my ‘why’. Every piece of creation, every comment, every action is my attempt to chip away at the small issues, to avail myself, to be of service to the world in a way that leads to fulfillment. I want to make a mark, inverting commonly held beliefs, and challenging misconceptions. It’s about taking what I have and reconstruct, reshape, refashion it into something valuable.
That’s why I continue to do what I do, every day. That’s why any claims that I’m foolish, unconventional, or that I’m wasting my time is inconsequential because I’m here to affect change. I’m here to make a difference. I’m here to be me.
Author’s Note: Synchronicity would have it that the universe delivered messages to and through the authors without the knowledge of either author who wrote their respective articles on the same day. The authors did not realize that they were involved in a conversation with each other and the universe. The poet posed a question and the essayist was answering him at the same time and neither knew at the time yet instantly saw it when they read each other's pieces. I organized this story in such a way as to reflect that.
