The Boy and the Boundless Sea
Whispers of the Boundless Sea
An ocean, boundless in its azure vastness,
Where the wind, whipping with a wet zest, sings.
A boy, toes nestled in the warm, embracing sand,
Constructs with youthful vigor, hands shaping the land.
A castle emerges, coarse yet aspiring to stand tall,
Hands, gentle and deliberate, sculpt, heed the creative call.
Dutifully forging, each grain of sand a part of the creation,
Toward completion, a monument of transient elation.
Soft, frothy waves perform a rhythmic, enchanting dance,
Creeping, ever so gently, towards the sandy expanse.
Azure eyes observe, reflecting the ocean’s endless well,
With a spirited ‘Oh well!’ and a triumphant ‘Yahhhhhhh!’ yell.
The castle succumbs; a gargantuan tan foot, soft yet forceful,
Halts construction, the act both playful and remorseful.
An ocean, boundless, becomes a playground of endless mirth,
As the boy swims with friends, laughter bubbling in rebirth.
Soft, frothy waves continue their eternal, graceful dance,
Receding gently, leaving behind memories and a fleeting glance;
The castle, now a memory, absorbed by the boundless shore,
Yet in the boy’s heart, the ocean’s song plays forevermore.
Lost in the ocean?
Find solace in more tales of the soul.
Your claps echo in my quiet.
