A challenge turns into a tragedy: a group of Italian YouTubers, TheBorderline, crashed their SUV Lamborghini into a Smart car in the Casal Palocco area of Rome. Inside the car, along with the mother and sister, was also 5-year-old Manuel, who died upon arrival at the Grassi Hospital in Ostia.

The mother and sister were also urgently transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The group of YouTubers, consisting of Matteo Di Pietro, Vito Loiacono, Giulia Gianandrea, and Marco Ciaffaroni, had started a challenge where the four of them would take turns driving the rented Lamborghini for 50 hours. Before starting the challenge, which ended with the fatal accident, the four of them posted a video on their TikTok page, which has now been deleted, showing one of them kissing the car hood.

The accident

It occurred on Wednesday, June 14th, in the Casal Palocco area of Rome, around 3:45 PM, while the four were in the Lamborghini SUV they had previously rented from the SkyLimit car dealership in the capital. The prosecutor’s office is conducting investigations to determine the speed at which the car was traveling.
