The Borderline, the MrBeast Copycat Involved in an Deadly Car Accident
Creators took turns driving a Lamborghini for 50 hours
A challenge turns into a tragedy: a group of Italian YouTubers, TheBorderline, crashed their SUV Lamborghini into a Smart car in the Casal Palocco area of Rome. Inside the car, along with the mother and sister, was also 5-year-old Manuel, who died upon arrival at the Grassi Hospital in Ostia.
The mother and sister were also urgently transported to the hospital with serious injuries. The group of YouTubers, consisting of Matteo Di Pietro, Vito Loiacono, Giulia Gianandrea, and Marco Ciaffaroni, had started a challenge where the four of them would take turns driving the rented Lamborghini for 50 hours. Before starting the challenge, which ended with the fatal accident, the four of them posted a video on their TikTok page, which has now been deleted, showing one of them kissing the car hood.
Who are TheBorderline?
“We’re not rich, but we like to spend to entertain you! Everything we do is based on you. The more support you give us, the more expensive and fun content we’ll bring,” reads the description of their YouTube channel, named TheBorderline, which currently has 600,000 subscribers. “Through challenges, contests, and all kinds of pranks, we’ll try to make you laugh at every moment. Every single euro earned on YouTube will be spent to bring you absurd and unique videos. The ultimate goal? To give someone 1,000,000 euros (It will probably never happen, but it’s our goal). Our inspiration is the great MrBeast, who built an empire in America through this type of videos. Inspired by him, we’ll bring similar content to Italy for the first time, which can only be carried out with your tremendous support.”
