Summary

The text reflects on the nature of bullies, revealing their actions stem from fear and insecurity, and contrasts this with the strength and peace found in self-awareness and humility.

Abstract

The article "The Bluff of the Bully" delves into the psychology of bullies, suggesting that their aggressive behavior is a facade masking their inner fear and lack of self-worth. It emphasizes that true strength lies in humility, kindness, and the pursuit of knowledge, which leads to a deeper understanding of oneself and the world. The narrative draws a parallel between the cowardice of bullies and the courage of those who seek peace and offer help to others, often against popular opinion. It underscores the importance of recognizing one's true value, which diminishes the need for aggression or dominance. The text concludes with a poignant reflection on the contrast between leaders who choose destruction and those who work towards salvation, asserting that ultimately, every individual faces judgment within the chambers of their soul.

The Bluff of the Bully

In the chambers of his soul, every man meets his real judge

We awaken by asking the right questions. We awaken when we see knowledge being spread that goes against our own personal experiences. We awaken when we see popular opinion being wrong but accepted as being right, and what is right being pushed as being wrong. We awaken by seeking answers in corners that are not popular. And we awaken by turning on the light inside when everything outside feels dark. — Suzy Kassem, Rise Up and Salute the Sun

You know every bully is a coward every threat comes out of fear; for it takes the bigger man to make room for the others

Laden branches bow lower with the weight of the fruits hanging down to assuage the thirsty and the hungry

The bigger the soul the more at ease and the less the cause to cuss or curse for knowing your worth takes away the itch to upbraid, bark or bite

Those who push to scare are already dead scared and want to share their fear lest their ashen faces show the dread in their soul

The little imp inflates self to look much bigger or raise the frame to appear taller or the voice to sound heavier

Peep into its soul and you find a tiny frightened brat shivering to drive away the cold grip about to freeze the life out of the harassed little body

The more we know the more we need to know and that tames the ego to make it humble

Those who know the havoc wars wreck sue for peace at whatever price

The bravado of the desperado lives only for a short while

The coward cowers all the time while warm-hearted folks go out of their way to help the aged cross the street others hurry past not seeing the need and the wicked push those in need out of the way

One leader damns the world to kill and enforce his will the other appeals to the world to send supplies to save lives

Both have made living history and in the final reckoning every man will face his judge all alone, his real deeds echoing in the chambers of his soul and the conscience
