The Best Things You Can Do To Reclaim Your Life
It is not too late, regardless of whether you are 42, 55, or 88.
I stopped counting my numbers in my 30s; time flies as I go further away from the life begins mark every time the year ends.
I usually write down reflections about life and career every time I draw closer to the end of the year.
Here we go.
It is okay not to publish everything about your life on social media.
If you do, you will seek external validation from other people’s reactions until it evolves into a modern idolatry by thinking highly of yourself.
Some may deny it, but for me, some things are better if left private.
The desire to please people will not make your life happier.
Never stress yourself too much.
You do not need to explain in length to people who hurt you; forgive and move on.
We cannot control other people. Neither are we obliged to please others.
We cannot control things in the past, and the best thing we can do is forgive and free people from our heart prison.
Do this, and it will indeed liberate you.
It is funny how people almost sell their souls as if the way towards a successful life is all about money, fame, and power.
Striving for material things remains a moving target and leads to a life that is always discontent.
Money and possessions are not the answer.
Let go and let God.
The longer you are committed to debt, the more you will feel stuck in your situation.
The rich rule over the poor, and the borrower is slave to the lender.
Proverbs 22:7
After finishing that car and mortgage, you must think carefully before committing another financial obligation.
To experience a chain-free life, stay away from debt.
Never ignore the saying health is wealth.
You might be working all day, saving that money and investing it into growing investment vehicles.
Some only use the money to treat their illness later as they age.
If you continue to wear your body by eating junk, sleeping late at night, and not leaving room for rest — you will not be able to enjoy your money.
Poor health will dilute your hard-earned money if you do not manage it well.
Take charge of not just money but your entire well-being.
Making costly money mistakes is part of learning.
I remember burning more than $10k years ago. It might be small for some, but it meant so much to me back when I was a very young man who wanted to build something.
Do not be afraid to try things. The next time you do it, take a calculated risk.
Repeating the same errors is already stupidity.
Whatever you achieve in life — may it be wealth, title, or any recognition must not change your character.
Go over your life and take a moment where you experienced being recognized.
It is such a good feeling. And that is fine.
But if the same goes into your head and makes you feel entitled to it, then there is a problem.
YOU are the problem.
Never let worldly stature change you.
If you are called to be an employee, that is okay. And when business is your destiny, that is fine, too.
The world’s problem is that almost everyone preaches that being an employee is a loser.
Read the Bible. Some men were shepherds, gardeners, fishermen, traders, etc. People were called for different vocations and occupations.
There is no right or wrong if you are employed or alone. God intended us to have different life journeys all along.
Pray instead to pursue whatever is His will for you.
