Imagine a world where you get to make your own schedule from start to finish. Also, imagine being able to adjust it on a moment’s notice without much penalty.

This is what freelancing is like. It is work that very spontaneous, hard-working individuals enjoy doing because they are the ones in control. Not their bosses.

Freelancing type work is what I’ve been doing for the last two years before I went onto active military orders. I loved so much more than having a “9 to 5”.

The freedom of choice when you want to work hard and the time that you need to just do you is one of the best feelings ever.

The more of an entrepreneurial hustle that you want to have, the more control you have freelancing.

Below, I have a list of freelancing jobs I have personally done and some that I plan to do in the near future.

There are both pros and cons to freelancing. It could be a right fit for one month or one year.

Passion is the difference between having a job or having a career.

Here Are The Pros And Cons Of Freelancing

  • You get to make your own schedule
  • The more income you want, the harder you can work either by gaining clients or offering additional services.
  • The more people you know, the more you can help your community and spread your business.
  • Chance to try new jobs you’ve never done before
  • Enhances creativity
  • Improves communication skills
  • Teaches time-management

Cons:

  • Constant planning is required
  • There will be slow weeks for business so it is important to have an emergency fund
  • Inconsistent schedules
  • Requires a lot of flexibility
  • Must be extra attentive to customers — specific jobs and communication-wise

The military’s set schedules have made me more open to finding other ways to boost my income such as cutting hair, writing blogs, and investing my money.

No matter if we are dealing with a pandemic crisis or not, there’s always freelancing work available.

As long as you’re creative and acquire phenomenal communication skills, then you’ll be able to unlock the life many of us strive for. A life where you are your own boss.

Whatever it is that you want to accomplish in life, the lessons you will learn through free-lancing can create clarity for the goals you want to achieve in the future.
