A poem

I step out of my car and the sea air hits me Filling my lungs it feels like it lifts me Instantly purging my worries and woes To happiness, my conscious now goes.

Carried along the path by my feet Greeting the passers-by I meet My heart knows the way as I glide along The waves the music of my soul’s song.

The view sublime, the air so pure A place to rest of which I’m sure From which I can see so much I love And watch the waves from high above.

I reach the bench, my happy place My respite from the great rat race Upon it, I settle and instantly smile And there I’ll sit and watch a while.
