The Beginning of the End
I guess we should feel lucky for making it this far. But are we?
The road trip of life has reached its final destination. The stopping point. The place where memories become more important than the future.
Looking back, I wonder what roads I could have taken, what sights I could have seen.
Youth is like a fast car; Quick but runs out of gas too soon.
This is the cul-de-sac of life. The spot where your roots take hold when all you want to do is keep driving around that little half circle and head back from where you came.
But looking back is too risky. Because it’s too fucking late.

The word cul-de-sac is a curious one. We all envision the same thing, the quaint house at the end of a middle-class subdivision with a trampoline or a pool in the back yard.
I wanted to try something different and not focus my hundo on the structure. So, I used the word as a metaphor for where I’m at in my journey around the sun and I hope it worked.
