The Beginning of It All
A poem based on Genesis 1:21, 25 (NIV)
The Beginning of It All
Vegetation, nutritious and perfect bearing seeds trees with delicious fruit came from the ground as food for all on the third day.
Living creatures of water graceful whales, walrus, and tiny tetra playful seals, starfish, and giant stingray came into being by a spoken word lived and swam in oceans pure bearing their young.
Birds of the air all kinds of flying creatures soared the skies found crevices in cliffs branches in birch to increase their numbers. Insects of the air inserted themselves in the spaces in between.
On land, livestock of cattle sheep and goats domestic animals of every kind wild beasts of lions, bears great monitors lived in shared community.
Ants, arachnids and aphids crawled upon ground as they’d been designed. Morning and evening marked the sixth day.
Everything was good. And then.
There was humankind male and female to rule them all.
