The Awakening
Haiku’s endless affair with nature.

Deep blue is the sky Neverending is the sea Silver lined are clouds
Shadows are falling Black clouds playing hide-n-seek Sunshine’s tangerine
Sweet smelling and mild Cooling calm breeze flies away Touching me softly
Senses come alive Together infused as one When nature plays strokes
The beauty unfolds Fleeting over horizons The Awakening
Last evening, my friend Divya from Australia sent me this picture she had clicked off the sunset. Since I found it to be one of the most beautiful ones, I saved it. But viewing it a while ago aroused the poetess in me, and the result is this Haiku — The Awakening.
