Different countries, different manners. How many sexual partners have men worldwide?
With how many women, or men, does a man sleep in the course of his life?
Surely these numbers vary a lot from man to man. However, there is data that provides average figures.
Manual, a website that is all about the mental health of men, has published very interesting statistics on the life and sexual behavior of men in different countries.
They looked at 35 countries based on data from Statista.
One of these statistics was the number of sexual partners that men in different countries have on average over the course of their lives.
The Bare Numbers
Across all the countries surveyed, the average number of people with whom a man had sexual intercourse during his lifetime was 9.3.
However, there were enormous differences between the individual countries, as you will see in a moment.
And The Winner Is…
Turkey takes first place in this ranking with 14.5, which means that the average number of sex partners among Turks is more than 50% higher than the cross-national average.
The other two spots on the podium are taken by Australia and New Zealand, with 13.3 and 13.2 sexual partners per man.
It’s fascinating how the geographical proximity of the two countries is also reflected in similar sexual behavior. This phenomenon can also be noticed in the USA and Canada, as well as in Scandinavian countries, as you will see in a moment.
But maybe it’s just a coincidence, I don’t know.
