The art we all have done

And the one we probably find the easiest

I know some may differ, but I find making a collage so cathartic, so fun. There is no way to get it wrong. You can do and undo as you like. It is more informal, without pressure, contrary to other types of arts.

Inside a classroom, I imagine all the students having fun with the cutouts and glue; being entertained in pasting their favorite letters and characters. I have a feeling that it is one of the artistic activities where there is more commitment and less comparison with the results obtained.

Don’t get me wrong, drawing and painting are great and surely there will be more experimental painting classes where the purpose is more recreational or therapeutic than being a great artist.

But from my point of view, a collage of any kind always involves all the important aspects: a friendly process and a result that generates a wide smile.
