The Art of Wasting Words Wisely
And consciously creatively
Short-form stories are the perfect place to learn how to be, let’s say, economical with our words.
Each word is written with intent.
Each point is necessary to the overall message.
But, what if we were to use our words neither directly nor indirectly, but dressed with a wild sprinkling of wonder?
Perhaps make some informative points but have creative fun with our deliciously descriptive poetic prose. Or add alliteration as an amplifier.
Mix fiction in with non-fiction depicting our dreams as well as our reality.
As I sit and ponder my next wise (or unwise) word-weaving magic, I will let you wonder what wanton word-wasting wisdom I will whip up next.
