The American Party is Over Now

How to beat fear and anxiety in 2022

There’s a reason why I’ll never run for office at any level.

The American people. The American people are America’s biggest problem.

How do you fix medicare when 84.8 million adults eat fast food every day? How do you fix the economy when 27 states scored a C, D, or F for high school financial literacy?

How do you help America when more people are obsessed with watching political porn on CNN and Fox News than reading a book?

“Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are stupider than that.” — George Carlin

The American party is over, and here’s how you should prepare for it financially, mentally, and physically into 2022.

How to stop rotting away at home (financial advice)

You vote with your dollars.

The more money you have the less the government can tell you what to do.

I was on food stamps three years ago and was dependent on the government every month to help buy groceries. I felt like a little kid asking for allowance money. It sucked big time.

The more you’re forced to blindly trust institutions like the government or the Federal Reserve the more power they will have over you.

Twitter

The financial game isn’t rigged. I don’t care what Reddit, Elizabeth Warren, or Karl Marx tell you.

A family friend of mine who’s a former illegal immigrant from the Dominican Republic was the first to tell me this as a kid. Today he works two high-paying jobs, lives in a nice house in North Jersey, and was even offered a top executive job at an electric company.

If you just keep bitching about how unfair life is on the internet no one except your fake online friends will take you seriously.

Be Better in 2022: Boost your financial IQ and focus on finding a way to marry that knowledge with your life’s purpose.

Metal Clarity: Die every single day

You have to grow up and realize that politics is theater.

They don’t really care about you.

I know you like to think they do. But in reality, Donald Trump has more in common with Nancy Pelosi and Bernie Sanders than you do with any of them.

They’ll argue about a few hot-button issues like immigration, abortion and gun rights but when it comes to corporate and global interests it’s immutable.

The alternate cover for this article. Both Republicans and Democrats are snake-oil salesmen.

The other day I caught a podcast between musician Frank Ocean and extreme athlete Wim Hof.

Hof argued that we need to stop caring so much about social media, tech, politics, television, and rekindle our relationship with our natural, primal selves.

You can accomplish this by working out, running, or just spending some time outside away from your distractions and vices.

He called it “dying every single day.” I can relate. I don’t always want to work out — or even go outside for that matter — but when I do, I feel reborn.

Be Better in 2022: Politics is for losers. Don’t obsess over them. Get outside and move around. This isn’t pseudoscience-y shit. Relieve unnecessary stress from your life.

The one universal way to improve your life

Working out and eating healthily are the two best anti-depressants on the planet. They have hundreds of benefits and no negatives.

Moreover, an Israel study found that natural immunity from a healthy body is 13 times more effective against COVID-19 than vaccines.

Ok. Here’s the thing.

Just take it slow heading into 2022. Throw out the word diet. Don’t force yourself to spend endless hours at the gym.

There’s a misconception in America that if you don’t work out to the bone you’re a loser. This is dead wrong.

A huge part of life is just showing up. Just walk into a gym. Maybe lift up a dumbbell or run for two minutes. Afterward eat a few more vegetables and swap a protein shake for a soda. Just try it. Don’t overexert yourself.

We need health care. But we also need to stop poisoning ourselves.

Be Better in 2022: Working out boosts your immune system, helps with mental health, and decreases chances of elderly-related diseases including brain disease and diabetes. There are no excuses not to do it a tiny bit.

Final thoughts

Joe Biden lies just like the rest:

  • “I will forgive $50k in student loans”
  • “No wait, I’ll forgive $10k in student loans”
  • “Okay maybe not that, but I’ll extend the loan pause Trump implemented”
  • “Okay it's been long enough, go back to paying off your debt”

Politicians do not have your best interest at heart. That includes Biden, Trump, Pelosi, Pence, AOC, and 90% of Washington’s clown show.

Things will only get better when you and I get better.

It’s the truth. Now go make 2022 your year. Own it.
