Framing Life
The Ambiance of Tranquillity Seeps Within Our Soul as If We Have Gained the Peace Hunted for a While
Ladle Morning Tranquility

Have you ever looked at your surroundings and been mesmerized by how different objects reflect light? A spoon might remember a particular color, while a pot of boiling water creates ripples of light.
These images all have one thing in common: They are calming reflections where everything seems frozen in time and space. When you take pictures of these scenes, you witness this instant where everything seems to be still. The ambiance of tranquillity seeps within your soul and brings out feelings of self-satisfaction as if we have gained the peace we have been hunting for a while.
Why do we find these reflections so captivating? I believe it is because we see a part of ourselves in them. We know the stillness that we so crave in our hectic lives. We see the beauty in imperfection and find comfort in knowing that even though the world around us is constantly moving, there are moments when everything comes to a standstill.
To capture these images, you only need a camera and a willingness to experiment. I like to use a long exposure so that the camera can capture the movement while still freezing the moment in time. This technique also allows me to play with different lighting techniques, such as using a flash or painting with light.
Once you start taking pictures of calming reflections, you won’t be able to stop!
These images have a way of drawing you in and inviting you to take a closer look. I hope that by sharing my passion for capturing these moments, I can inspire you to pick up your camera and bring your own pictures.
In this age of social media, feeling disconnected from those around us is common, and it’s easy to forget the value of a single still image. When we view photographs, we are given a glimpse into other people’s lives and experiences. This can help us feel more connected to others and remind us of our shared humanity.
With so much negativity in the news, it’s easy to forget the beauty surrounding us. Seeing the world through a camera lens can help us remember all of the good in our world. Looking at photographs can also inspire us to get out and explore new places.
An expertly composed photograph can distill a moment’s essence and preserve it for eternity.
