The 7 W.O.W’S
Wonders of walking your way into good health each morning & every day.
“Since the steps you walk today for your health, are an investment to make your future bright, don’t forget to put the ‘Wake Me Up’ morning alarm each night.” — Geetika Sethi.

A late riser that I am, (unless I’m at Jindal Naturecure Institute, India) I have always wondered what motivates thousands of people to sneak out of their homes at the first sight of the sunrise, every single day to get ready and rush out for their morning walk?
One thing I know for sure is that they know all its pros, which I too learned while I studied to become a Health Coach. We all know that exercising is very necessary, along with being beneficial despite whatever time of the day it’s done. It’s like studying to pass an exam with a distinction, but when you get out to go walk early morning, you wake up your cardio rhythms and it is this pumping jolt that gives your mind and body the added benefits, making it top in health, just the way you would have studied in the wee hours of the morning with a refreshed brain, to max an exam.
So, are you ready to shrug off your laziness and go for a morning walk tomorrow?
All you need to do is try to sleep early tonight so you can hear the morning chime on your alarm. Jump out of bed… I suppose post rubbing eyes, stretching out and yawning away to glory as you open your bedroom curtains. Followed by brushing up, washing up, and then getting into tracks. Next, you’re ready to lace up a good pair of walking shoes, have some water, and carry some along, and 1.2.3… you’re all set to go!
And here’s what you shall achieve if you do so…
1. Walking in the morning activates your body system from top to toe & gives you energy for the rest of the day.
2. Walking in the morning makes you get rid of the “I’ll do it later” excuse. You thus have no time to procrastinate during the day that should I go to exercise now or later or even let it be.
3. Walking in the morning creates a positive mindset for your other important activities. It gives you a high, a tremendous energy boost and aids mental alertness to last all day.
4. Walking in the morning promotes weight loss. Yes, it’s true that when morning walks are consistent, you will find a difference in body weight and shape gradually.
5. Early morning exercise is good for your heart and especially walking as it reduces the chances of getting heart disease by 40%.
6. Walking in the morning has social benefits as you can get together with like-minded people and form a walking club. This will help you meet your walking goals every single day.
7. Morning walks give you at least 20 minutes of undisrupted thinking. The fresh air that you inhale brightens your health and your vision to another level. It’s the best time you get to plan the day and do all the thinking too.
So, what do you think about a morning walk now?
Is a morning walk something you will give a chance?
Can becoming a morning walker heal your life?
Is it a worthwhile exercise?
Well, if you ask me what’s my advice as a Health Coach — It’s a big YES!
Everyone should always remember the 7 WOW’s. The “7 Wonders of Walking” to be “7 Words of Wisdom” to walk their way to good health.
Are you going to get up tomorrow morning and go for a walk? I think I will, and to make sure I continue doing so, I will print these bullet points and hang as a chart in my bedroom along with a calendar and start ticking each day to keep myself going every morning. So if I can do it, you can do it too!
