WRITING

Balancing quantity and quality.

I am inspired by many writers on Medium. I learn from their experience. But I can’t be like them. I have developed my own rhythm and process.

My 7 mantras:

  1. I don’t publish everyday — I used to, but stopped.
  2. I don’t edit as a I write — I let it all flow and then edit.
  3. I use a template — I created a few, looking at popular articles.
  4. I don’t research as I write — I do a quick Google search, and revisit later for deeper references.
  5. I don’t write in a linear fashion — I write as thoughts pop in, and structure them later.
  6. I don’t write for hours at a time — I realized that this actually brought down the freshness.
  7. I don’t wait for an inspiration — I write first, think later.
