The 7 Emotional Ingredients Of A Perfect Day
In time my expectations of a perfect life or a perfect day have changed a lot and have become less general and more detailed.
I remember dreaming of a perfect husband, job, and girlfriend. A huge house to live in, a rich family, parents with special jobs, of which I could be proud. The bigger the dream, the less satisfied I was with my actual life. I couldn’t see the good points in it, I was always looking for something outside, waiting for some help from the world.
Then the good part of becoming and adult arrived: I realized life was the way it was, and I had to accept it to try to make it better or more similar to my expectations, and find it pleasant. Since then and every day, I keep looking for inspiration and emotions in many things in my life.
So now, I can define what the ingredients of a perfect day are, since I lived some of them just yesterday, and it was quite exciting.
1-Nice weather.
It was a sunny and windy day. Good weather helps to accept difficult moments quite often: how can you be sad under a blue sky?
2-Look and find.
I was looking for something, and I found it. I live in a small village and we have a well-organized library, with even new books. I go there once a week, but lately I have been borrowing books I read about on social media, of authors I am not aware of. For some reason I was disappointed by the books and I could not be satisfied when I went to bed, not having an interesting book to read. So when yesterday I borrowed three books I chose and I was looking for, that was a real good start, and it was early in the morning.
3-Peace at work.
My working day went well, and I could complete all the tasks I had planned to do. I didn’t have to work longer than I expected. It was a relaxing workday.
4-A good movie.
In the evening I watched a movie set in Copenhagen, I city I visited some time ago. I was a bit disappointed at the time, but now I realize it was much bigger and I only visited the touristic part of the city. So, my desire to travel was satisfied. I need to mention there was a love affair in the movie, which added value to it.
5-An opportunity.
I was contacted for a job interview, I don’t know what the outcome would be, but I found it nice.
6-Good food.
I love vegetables and I prepared a colored and tasty salad.
7-Sleep.
And when I went to bed the book was there waiting for me, and I fell asleep while reading. Which for a victim of insomnia is a great success!
Yesterday was my perfect day: it all happened easily, I enjoyed every minute, and I can’t wait to live another one. What about you, what are the ingredients of your perfect day?
