It will make you feel uncomfortable at first.

Last month, my girlfriend and I went out. No fuss, no excitement, just a nice break from it all. Just the two of us and our gypsy caravan in the middle of the campsite.

Just into the world.

It felt great, we felt we were in an alternative world, with no hot water, no electricity, and certainly no annoying people nagging at us about the work that had to be done. We could do what we wanted.

For me a good time to read a book again.

On this campsite, there was a kind of mini-library where people could put in and take out books, a mini-lending system. There was a very interesting book: “Reset.

This book opened my eyes.

The book is about resetting your life by confronting yourself and your past. It describes in detail how genetics influence your functioning in society and how you can manipulate them.

Understanding Your Body

We, modern people, have little attachment to ourselves. We are far too preoccupied with what we want to do, who we want to become, and what we should be able to do.

But we no longer know who we are, at the core.

Where we used to use our stress mechanism to survive, now it only gets in our way.

In prehistoric times, when we were attacked by a wild animal, our bodies produced substances that made us active and sharp so that we could fight or flee without first making a rational choice about it.

Now, we rationalize everything before we make a choice; this causes us to stress about all subjects in life. Without needing to because, after all, we are not going to die.

Stress is killer number 1 and fortunately, more and more people are realizing this. You can control the amount of stress you produce.

How? By using breathing techniques and other calming techniques such as cold showers.

Wim Hof has been talking about this for years and I often praise him in my articles because he has changed my view of the world with regard to health and willpower.

Remember that word: willpower.

Through willpower, you can accomplish anything. Your body is a tool that you use to live, so take good care of it.

In the last two weeks, I had the mild flu. I immediately regretted stopping cold showers and immediately started again. I now feel great again after a week of continuous cold showers.

Mindset

Right, mindset.

This is starting to look like an advertising pitch from those gurus on Instagram. It’s not; I’m distancing myself from that. But mindset, when applied correctly, has such a big impact on your life.

If you start something with a nonchalant attitude, it will obviously never amount to anything.

Motivation increases the chance of success.

That flu last week was my motivation to take better care of myself because being sick feels just awful, and I don’t want that again.

It felt like a reaction of my body that was trying to say: “take good care of yourself.”

As long as the mindset is right, no one is going to stop you from achieving what you want.

Reset your mind.

Many people around me have a very narrow mindset, and it may be harsh, but of course, that way they will never progress in life.

A job is not the only thing you should be living for, day in and day out.

Most people walking around on the earth today will never get the moment of realization that this world and the system that goes with it is broken and needs to be reinvented.

Above all, do what you enjoy and see your work as your “side hustle” and the rest is life.

The New Generation Is Shaping The Future

So what do these two things (physical reset and mindset) have in common? Actually, a lot. In order to feel physically top-notch, you need a positive and energetic mindset.

This mindset idea is growing among young people.

I see more and more people trying the Wim Hof method, and that’s great; get the most out of life.

Young people have found something in life that they are already further along in than previous generations (mindset). That’s just ingrained in us.

We feel that we can achieve a lot, unlike many older people who feel that little bits don’t contribute anything.

And I truly believe that this generation is going to change the world.

Wrapping Things Up

Mindset is so important when you want a better life, body, or mind. Sometimes it is incredibly difficult to find the right mindset and especially to maintain it.

Don’t think after a while that you are already there. You learn new things every day. You will continue to develop for the rest of your life.

As long as you have the right mindset.

Humans, by nature, are not creatures with good discipline, but this can be learned. Most people don’t even bother to reflect on themselves. They will continue to float around in their vicious circle for the rest of their lives.

Use it to your advantage.
