The 20 Word Challenge! (Woot Woot!)

Photo by me! (In my beautiful hometown!)

I don’t know if you’ve heard of it, but there was a writing challange on Medium a month or so ago, and it was to create 5–10 ten word stories. It was tricky but I throughly enjoyed it. So when a few days ago Nikolaos Skordilis proposed a 20 word challenge —

note: Since I like challenges, and since I think we largely exhausted the 10-word story challenge, I step up to 20-word stories.

(which you can read about here) and nominated me I jumped at the chance!

So here are my attempts: I’m going to do a theme — and that theme is … 🤔 … the fall!

1. She looks though the glass, the batter sizzles… She cannot wait to get that donut in her mouth.

2 Stuck in the core and slowly skinned alive; powered flavor sprinkled over the cubes of flesh. Softening in the heat.

3. A blanket of colors on dew covered grass; their life has come to an end But the beauty continues on.

4. The crisp air brushes against her hands, the shovel is so heavy. She digs beneath the fallen leaves, and buries her loss.

5. A slashing brightness tore through the trees, his feet slid on wet leaves, The light glitched, and so did he.

OK so there you have it!

Number two is a riddle — for no other reason than it just kind of happened that way. So let me know if you figured it out!

I nominate whomever wants to partake in this challenge to do so! Just make sure you tag Nikoloas in it — and me too! I’d love to see what you come up with!

Thank you for reading!! As always!! Do you like challenges? Do you think you’ll play? Comment, comment, comment!
