Thanks to all the Amazing & Ambitious Teachers
As we come to the end of the 2020 school year, here’s a sincere & simple thank you for all the teachers out there.

Yes, “be better than you were yesterday.”
Simple advice from teachers that should stay with us for the rest of our life.
Thank you, Mrs. Harmon. My 5th-grade teacher. Back then you were with one teacher the WHOLE day… oh, the horror! And homework! I remember being home, sitting at the table at night till the candles burnt down, the pencil was but a nub and my knuckles bleeding to get that night's homework done. Okay, maybe just a slight and a do mean slight exaggeration. But you get the gist.
But thank you Mrs. Harmon, and also your husband Frank that I had in Junior High. Different teaching styles, but you still both held my feet to the flame. Thank You and RIP, I love both of you.

Mr. Delponte, my former 6th-grade teacher that gave up advertising to become a teacher. Thank you! It is said that you once told your son that I was a good kid. I probably wasn’t, but nice to know he thought that I was. I will always remember him saying “When advertising, BOLD stands out.” Thank you.
Mr. Soloman (I think) in Junior High, thank you for the lessons in taxidermy and wood carving. You helped me create a few incredible pieces that I am still proud of today.
Mrs. O, (I’d spell your full name, but I really don't remember, I’m sorry) my sophomore or maybe junior year English teacher in high school. Even though I slaughtered the English language then, and still do today, she always encouraged me to write. I still do. Thank you

And to the class of 2020, (If you are reading this) whether it be High School or College, Congratulations! Be proud of your accomplishments so far, stay humble, stay hungry, and please remember the teachers that helped you along the way.
Oh, and remember your parents! Because they put up with way more shit than you can imagine…. and trust me when you become a parent, you’ll understand!
I’m just an old locksmith and former Marine but if you need an ear to reach out to, please do. Let’s do a virtual coffee break together, it will be good for the soul, for both of us. I look forward to talking to you soon. https://calendly.com/s/C2ILIyL2
