Thank You, My Friend
A poem of love

“Hold fast, All of you together, To the rope of Allah, And do not separate.” Qur’an (3:103)
A true friend, Ahmad, Is a gift from God. It is not odd That we share the music And the sea. It is a gift.
You are my brother, Ahmad, As close to me As anyone will ever be. Your joy or pain Are with me, and remain. We are as one.
The Prophet said, Ahmad, A boy without a friend Is a wandering refugee, Far from home, A person eternally alone. Shukraan, my friend.
When you call, Ahmad, I answer. It is solace For my heart. And when we part, Along goes my flawless love. Ma’assalamah.
