Today, one of the writers in my writing group shocked me with great news — she just received another $500 bonus from Medium.

Eager to see if I got a similar bonus, I went into my Partner Program Earnings report and my jaw dropped — I also got a bonus but in the amount of $100. Although it wasn’t $500 like last time, I feel grateful.

To keep writers on board, they have to make sure writers don’t just write for pennies on this platform. They want to make writers feel like they’re being appreciated for their efforts. And I like that approach. After all, every writer wants to thrive on Medium and Medium is all about engagement.

Once again I feel grateful for receiving such a bonus. Thank you Medium for appreciating my work and offering monetary compensation for my efforts. It’s a great feeling to know that you’ve recognized all the hard work I put into my writing.
