Thank You For Strong Women
Today and every day, I thank the women who have touched my life

Who are the women who have touched your life?
I have so many I cannot count them. All of them are different, yet they all have strength.
They’ve faced the obstacles of judgment, shame, and endless stereotypes, just because of their body parts. They’ve overcome so much. They’ve risen like phoenixes. Their strength shines in many ways.
Thank you to all of the women who have touched my life
To the women educators who are helping raise my son — my most precious gem. I know he is beautiful and kind, but he is challenging. Thank you for your patience.
To the women who lift me up when I am down. I need you. When a man left me, you told me I was stronger than I realized. I didn’t know, but you were my rock.
To my mom friends who make me laugh with stupid jokes and share drinks with me, you help me take life less seriously. You have all endured so much.
To the females — our animal sisters whose babies were taken from them for food or for milk. I’m sorry. You are so strong.
To the women who lost children, including myself, before they could be born into the world. To the women who lost children once they were out in the physical world. You’re still alive and this is proof that you are a warrior.
To the women who could not bear children but who tried. I feel you. And to those that faced criticism because it was not their calling or their time. You are strong.
To my cousin who discovered she loved another woman. You had to move mountains to be together.
To my roommate who was a woman, and who became a man. You are so brave.
To the women who have come into my life, and then left, you left footprints and heart prints. You made me stronger.
To the woman who remarried my father. Thank you for your patience and your commitment and love to this man. I got to know your strength later in life.
To the women in my neighborhood who have been through so many ordeals — you have endured so much. I admire you.
To the woman who bakes bread down the street. Thank you for your hands, and the love you put into every loaf. I know you have many stories. I see your strong hands and honest eyes.
To all of the women writers whom I’ve connected with. I’ve been empowered by your words and moved by your stories. Mothers, grandmothers, sisters, daughters, wives, aunts, and friends. You’re all so tough.
To the woman healers who are helping me find my strength and my essence.
To my besties, my girls, my ladies, my friends, my woman circle.
To Mother Earth. You are still with us even after everything humans have put you through.
And to the woman who gave me life. Mom. Thank you for carrying me, raising me, and continuing to love me. You are my shining star. Your strength is boundless and I will always be stronger because of you.
Thank you, beautiful women. Strong women.
