Why I love her stories.

A few weeks ago, I don’t remember when, but I was looking into my feed here on Medium. There was a story in the publication ILLUMINATION on top of my feed. Your name was Desiree Driesenaar. I already followed the publication, but I didn’t know you, yet.

“You must be Dutch, just like me”

This name got my eye because your last name sounded so Dutch, and I was right, the more I read about you, and the more I read your stories.

I thought: “You must be Dutch, just like me”. These days, you will never know where people come from, even if the last name sounds from the country you are from.

Reading more and more stories from you, I discovered you love poems and Haiku’s as well.

Haiku? I never heard of it.

I looked it up: A four- or three-sentence poem. It comes from the East. There are so many variations of it. Thank you for learning what Haiku means.

The more stories I read from you, the more I got to know about sustainability. Even I am a member of the local sustainability group, I don’t know everything. I came here to learn about the topic as much as I can. Little by little, I get to know a little bit more about the topic.

You gave me more inside in what this topic is all about.

You wrote about this topic in a poem, haiku, or an article, you know how to give me new information or just your thought about sustainable topics.

This is a story you wrote about a business model with a sustainable approach. You wrote in this great piece why the system is not changing yet. It also makes my concern.

In this piece, you wrote what entrepreneurs can do to make the world better.

In this piece, you write about the connection with water and breathe. And that we — human beings — are nature.

Thank you for the reminder. As human beings, we always forget that we are part of the world that we are living in. We race through the day without even knowing what happens around us.
