Terry Mansfield, ‘Dressed to Quill’, has a wonderful way of including Kayoko, his wife of 47 years in his articles. Something I find causes me to recognise his deep love for her.

He also has a knack for laughing at himself and inviting us to share the fun while utilising an entertaining clip of Popeye singing. Popeye was perfect for this story and brought up memories of a long time ago.

His ‘Hi I’m Terry and I specialise in eclecticism’ story gives us a picture of his eclectic studying and work life as well as his joy for writing about a wide variety of topics that he is curious about.

He taught English in Tokyo. I knew we had something in common other than laughing and wanting to write about all sorts of topics.

For a good giggle at Terry’s choice of pet, I recommend this short read.

I’m looking forward to getting to know more about Terry in the coming weeks, months and years.
