Ten Word Stories: A Challenge
I just read a story by Saba Haider in which she shared her 10 stories from this challenge. I hadn’t heard of it before; I’m pretty new here. The concept isn’t new to me though. I once won a contest with my four word story:
Lost church, found Jesus.
So, I can’t help but jump right in with my ten word stories. Let’s go:
- Before they met, he was a figment of her imagination.
- She heard someone in her room; heart pounding. Cat pounced.
- A hole in her heart. Then, her daughter found her.
- She feels a form swim past, then sees dorsal fin.
- Alone in the dark, he feels another’s hot breath close.
- When she closed her eyes, he disappeared. Just an illusion.
- She dreamed she was hungry. By morning, skin and bones.
- She filled the tank. No GPS. She just drove west.
- The girl peeked in the Christmas tree. Eyes peered back.
- The Little Mermaid dreaming dreams, my grandma’s legacy to me.

Do you have ten little ten word stories?
