Ten Days Of Gratitude!

A visit that had cherished us!

My son & daughter in law visited Dammam from Virginia (USA) last week during the Thanksgiving holidays.

Family is one of the most crucial parts of a human’s life. It plays an essential role in society. Humans are social being and thus needs companionship from others. Family makes the kids and children get to learn some of the important values and morals of life.

The values and morals of the family will impact growing kids within society. Children within a family are more active, smart, and quick learners. Also, children who grow up under the guidance of elders can build honesty, love, and confidence.

During this trip to Dammam my son has shown the Indian Embassy School to his wife, where he had done his schooling. She never thought that she will catch a glimpse of his school which is in KSA.

We tried some south Indian dishes from a decent restaurant “ Royal Malabar Indian Restaurant” as my son was missing these foods in USA.

The above drink is Saudi Mix Fruit juice.

We then proceed to Mecca & Madina (The holiest Place for Muslims) where we performed Umrah. It is the name given to a pilgrimage to Mecca, a shorter version of the annual Hajj gathering. “Umrah” in Arabic means “visiting a populated place”. Umrah offers an opportunity for Muslims to refresh their faith, seek forgiveness and pray for their needs. The main purpose of Umrah is to clean the soul of past sins. A Muslim can perform Umrah more than once in a lifetime. Umrah is also seen as protection from poverty and the burdens of life, as a pilgrim is spending their wealth and time in the way of Allah.

From Madina to Mecca the “Harmain High-speed Train” has recently started which runs at 300km/per hour, it has been imported from Spain.

From Mecca, we left for Jeddah International Airport and my son and daughter-in-law left for Virginia and we returned to Dammam.

A great time spent with gratitude!
