Template error: instance of Fn::GetAtt references undefined resource [x]

Incorrect reference in CloudFormation Outputs section

This was a simple fix. I had a typo. The AWS CloudFormation GetAtt function references a resource that you deployed in your CloudFormation template.

In this example below the resource I’m deploying is named Repo. The attribute I’m trying to include in my outputs is the Repository Name.

The first problem I had is that I didn’t use the correct name of the resource which is Repo in the example below.

I also nee to review the documentation for the type of CloudFormation resource I’m trying to deploy and look at the GetAtt section. I need to make sure I’m using the correct property name.

In this case when you deploy the resource the name is specified with the property “RepositoryName” but the outputs provide that value in an attribute “Name” so it might be a bit confusing.
