FIFTY-TWO WEEKS WITH YOUR DIARY THE DIARIST ENTRY

Tell Us What You’d Say — To Your Younger Self?

Ever looked back and thought, ah-ha!

Week seven of fifty-two weeks with your diary, The Diarist entry prompts.

It’s a matter of days until my birthday, as I look in the mirror I see the grey hairs appearing as I sink into my forties. Literally, it feels like just yesterday I was eighteen. Maybe it’s the same for you, has time flown? I’d take a bet you’ve learned a lot too? Tell us:

— What would you say to your younger self?

It’s not about looking back with regrets this week, (unless you have them and wish to), week seven of The Diarist entries is all about looking back and deciding:

  • What would I say to a younger version of me, or any other younger person about life, a situation, an experience etc.,?
  • What’s key?
  • What’s important or not important?
  • What have I learned or am still yet to learn?
  • How life has gone for you, so far?
  • Looking back on anything that strikes you about this prompt

You can write an open letter, a diary entry, or simply share your thoughts in a personal Diarist style essay.

Don’t let this list be a limitation. This week’s The Diarist entry is all about: exploring life and what’s different between now and the past… get creative!
