Teddy Bear Trash: Gone, not forgotten.
October Six Word Photo Story Challenge: Scary
Left to rot. He’s watching you.
I found this teddy bear the same day I discovered the eerie doll in my story, “Left for Dead: Child’s Play.”
I don’t know if the doll and teddy bear came from the same household — abandoned by the same owner. Did the bear escape from the garbage bag that was cast aside?
I wonder if teddy bears have secret thoughts or if they’re just full of stuff.
When I saw the bear, I thought of the big pink teddy bear, “Lotso” — he plays the antagonist in the movie, Toy Story, and rules the toy prison. The bears don’t look alike but maybe they’re playing the same game.
I’m not taking him home.
That teddy bear has eyes — I won’t forget them.
He saw me that day. I swear.
Thank you, Mary Chang Story Writer, for the inspiration and her October “Scary Challenge” in her cool new publication, Six Word Photo Story Challenge. This story is my second answer to her question, “What does scared out of your wits mean?” Check out my first scary story, “Left for Dead: Child’s Play”
