Summary

The website content is a personal reflection on the complexity of emotions, particularly the experience of feeling both happiness and sadness simultaneously, exemplified by the author's mixed feelings about their brother's visa approval, and it invites readers to write about similar experiences through a poetry prompt.

The author extends this concept to a broader audience by introducing a poetry prompt, encouraging others to explore and express their own experiences with "happy crying." Tears in a Smile

Poetry prompt day 24

I was happy, Seeing the happiness of my family, And it was kind of scary, too.

Never had too much happiness, Seeing it coming my way, Makes me feel afraid.

I want to laugh, But there is a deep fear, Of the unseen problems.

I smiled with my eyes filled with tears, Feeling both the emotions at once, It's the happiest thing amongst anything in the world.

Incidents that makes me confused, Whether to be happy or sad, Makes everything so complicated.

After all, life is a series of events, That makes you smile in a moment, And makes you cry in another moment.

We all have moments in our life when we are confused about whether we should be happy or sad. Here, I want to share one incident of my life.

My brother got his study visa some years ago. I was happy and sad at the same moment. I was happy for him. However, I didn’t want him to go.

I know everyone has at least one event in their life when they are confused between happy and sad.

Therefore, today's prompt is

Write a poem about a day when you laughed through tears.

You can call it happy crying. Tears of joy can be somewhat confusing, especially if you associate crying with unwanted emotions. But they’re completely normal.

Happy tears aren’t specific to age or gender, so in theory, they could happen to just about anyone who experiences emotions.
