Spiritual Weekly Prompt

Tears Don’t Always Mean Sadness

Image by Stefan Keller from Pixabay

“Two reasons that make my tears roll down;

Either I have lost someone

OR

I have found myself again.”

Tears don’t always mean sadness. Every word in the universe has more than one meaning. Every coin has two sides. For some people, the glass is half-empty, for others half-full. For some people, the number looks 6 (six), and for others, it is always 9 (nine).

Every situation in life has different sides too. We react differently to similar situations. For example, one day, I stumbled over a stone while walking in the park, and although it didn’t hurt, I still got mad and took out all my anger on the rock.

A few days later, I was walking in the same park. It was a beautiful day. The rain had stopped a few hours before, and the park was full of people enjoying the sunlight. Some children were playing in a rain puddle. When I passed by them, the muddy water was all over my joggers. Only this time, instead of getting mad, I started laughing. I don’t know the reason to this day.

This Week’s Prompt: Write a Poem or Haiku or story or anything using the prompt word “Tears”.
