Poem
Tears
Rain and Tears
The night deepens, echoing words, Verses await destiny, hope pouring forth, I raise my hands to her in silence, Another night passes, time slipping away.
Unfathomable sorrow tinges the night, My tears flow freely in this moment, My heart falls silent, friends cast away, Love recedes, leaving me restless.
O Eternal One, immortalised forever, With these tears, I inscribe Your name, Though my understanding of You is limited.
I arrive amidst the heaviest of pain, When sadness strikes and hearts begin to break, I come in moments of panic and fury, Your power boundless, in saltiness and warmth, Large or small, I am present everywhere.
Sometimes, when strength abounds, I am absent, Yet your eyes are filled with moisture, And your cheeks are bathed in my tears.
When joy emerges, I too appear, Sometimes feeble, sometimes significant, When fear strikes, I arrive as a sign.
You feel my presence, whether far or near, Perhaps when you hear your favourite song, Or when your strength begins to wane.
I know you yearn to soar high, Yet amidst your turmoil, I am there.
Tears, unspoken words of the heart, Darkness surrounds me, cold piercing to the bone, Alone I stand, with nothing to hold onto, In a world so empty, only pain remains.
No sunlight illuminates my path, only ceaseless rain, I drown in tears, my heart weeps, As if no one cares, my soul torn apart.
Thunderous clouds, torrential rain, Pulsating wounds, tears trickling down, Will the rain give me this embrace, In wetness and cold, accompanied by fear, Not by rain, but by my tears, When will this storm end? Embrace me, rain, my only companion.
