Teardrop Connections
A single drop of sacred flow

A friend brought me a life treasure — a single glass teardrop // a gift from her homeland — flown
across Pacific fifteen years ago — an oceanic drop of sacred flow now sits on top of mirrored plate// sunlight bouncing off fluid margins//a bower bird light catches my eye—an open invitation to absorb soul’s resonance// to absorb tears of significance — held within my life
awareness// the drop is empty — a semi-liquid reflects immediate surrounds — a single drop of extra special// someone held me in their mind // a caring moment to be found
resonating in her choice//uniting me with presence — a gift I share
with you — a little drop of love // I’m mindful of its awe — a universe unveiled — within its simple/complex form — for there is beauty to be found in the shedding of every single tear//in the creation of every single glass — with the smooth empty-full structure
now sitting weightless in my palm — I sense the nestling of existence: oceans greeting shorelines // shorelines carrying belly of the sea — an oceanic existence in each lightning strike moment //in the glass half-empty displacement//in the glass over-flowing with discovery
a teardrop from each of our souls carried on the salty breath of suffering //carried on the salty breath of recovering — when I cradle the delicate form//I sense our humanity// a fragile liquidity —
for without shedding joys//without shedding sorrows — there would be no skies to fly in//no friendships to lose or gain//no memories to reflect upon//no wisdom to be found — in relationships forged
over hundred billion lifetimes expressed throughout our years —
there is—however
true love to be unveiled — when we take a pause// when we slow down //when we connect with each single glassy-eye//with each watery
drop of tear — may every heart find oceans of love established from genuine connections — reflected in the presence of simple /complex nature forms —
the gift of flourishing diversity//the gift of flourishing creativity// the
gift of being you//gifts of being we//whole gifts of being
me — in the endless fractal sea.
