Tea Leaves or Coffee Grinds?

What's in the bottom of your cup?

Photo by Madison Inouye from Pexels

Tea leaves or coffee grinds? Does it really matter? Always someones favourite brew, either first or latter. As the light shines over them you’d think it was all glitter. Or could be a rather nasty mess left by a little critter. They seem to stain the cup like the inside of a gutter. Don’t accidentally take a swig or they will make you splutter. Because even though they make a brew, they can be a little bitter. Tip them out and spread about to stain your favourite jotter. Or maybe you can read the shapes and patterns of the splatter. Oh, I’m lucky cos my one reads my poems are getting better. Don’t throw them out on the ground, you naughty little rotter. Because someone has to spend their time cleaning up the litter. My cup is dry and so’s my mouth and I’m beginning to stutter. So I’ll finish here to make a brew, see you all later.
