Tathagata
I Came in Peace

Veni Vidi In Pace
A much better quote, methinks (I came, I saw, peacefully).
Julius Caesar might not have agreed, but I’m sure Gotama Buddha would have — since he did just that.
Since he — Tathagata (who came thus, who went thus) — came, and saw, but had no thoughts whatever of conquest or subjugation. His only thought was to help — to point a path for suffering humanity, a path on the whole still ignored by one and all.
And so, Tathagata sighs but keeps pointing.
