Tangled In Everything

I’ve been cleaning. Clearing out the old making room for what’s next
My Boy; I found his truck Tell my son I found his ‘twuck’ And tell his sister that Elsa now has both her shoes..
Sweeping under the bed, I’ve recovered what was lost
And what I wish I could lose: Dirt, dust, and more of your hair than I’d like to find
Tangled in everything
You leave it when you need me And you need me less and less it seems..
You see, we’re fighting again Our back and forth
I wish I could Untangle you from me I wish I could forget, but I just can’t.
The abstraction of your thoughts..
So many good conversations. Too many angry words.
Your cooking and Your taste
The spark in your eyes when you’re teaching us something new
Your ease and Your grace
The beauty you see like no other The beauty you show me The beauty I now see
In a tiny plastic shoe A yellow toy dump truck A clump of dusty hair
Tangled in everything, Tangled in me,
And I don’t think that I’ll ever get it all out..
