Talking About Pungent Smell While Dating
Try to be understanding.
You might be dating someone that you are growing close to, and the two of you might be preparing to take the next step. However, you might have an issue with his or her odors. This might seem like an embarrassing issue to bring up to him or her, but you still might want to talk to your partner about it in order to fix the situation. So, how do you do this? How do you bring up body odor to your loved one? How do you approach this subject? Though the answers to these questions might be different for everyone, here are a few suggestions.
1. Be honest.
Let your partner know that he or she has an odor. Try to be sensitive about this subject, and do your best to be understanding while talking about this issue. Do your best not to be offensive, and talk to him or her on how to fix the issue.
2. Buy your partner more hygiene products.
Maybe, the soap that he or she is using just doesn’t work for his or her body type. Take your partner shopping and buy him or her some new soap and cologne. Try to find products that he or she likes so that he or she is more apt to use them.
3. Give your partner time to shower.
Maybe, your partner just isn’t getting the time that he or she needs to clean up. Try giving your partner more time for self-care and let him or her know that you are willing to schedule your activities after he or she has a chance to shower.
If you are dating someone that you really like but he or she has issues with body odor, you might want to discuss this with him or her. Try to be compassionate and understanding, and find a way to tackle the issue together.
