Summary

"Tale of a Little Rain" is a poetic narrative about the journey of self-discovery and the awakening of emotions, reflected through the personification of rain.

Abstract

The poem "Tale of a Little Rain" depicts the awakening of a personified Little Rain after a long period of dormancy. Over the course of seasons, Little Rain engages in introspection, facing the mirror for three winters, accompanied by the distant song of a nightingale. The narrative progresses into autumn, where Little Rain's posture suggests a sense of resignation, mirrored by a leaf's departure from its tree. The poem culminates in the joy of spring, where the sky's cloudy smile and the blossoming of a flower signify the emergence of happiness. The author, Rajesh Vairapandian, uses this tale as a metaphor for the human experience of growth and emotional awakening.

Little rain opens his eyes After seven summers of sleep

Slowly,

He walks up to the mirror staring at the mirror for three winters an invisible nightingale sings her solitude song far away.

Little rain walks into autumn with shoulders dropped A fluttering leaf leaves the tree;

Little rain looks at the sky Sky smiles in the form of clouds The first flower of spring blossoms with a fragrance called Hppiness.
